1.Temp type

Main usages are for temp control shipment of the items listed below:


-25°C: Frozen bun, Plasma derivatives and etc which needs to be kept -20°C or below.
High-performance freezers are necessary to freeze this type: -35°C or below.
-18°C: Most frozen foods, Icecreams and etc.
General freezers (-23°C or below) would be OK to freeze it.
-10°C: Frozen products.
General freezers (-20°C or below) would be OK to freeze it.
-5°C: Fish products such as squids.
General freezers (-20°C or below) would be OK to freeze it.
-2°C: Chilled products such as Fresh vegetables, Reagents and etc.
General freezers (-15°C or below) would be OK to freeze it.
+5°C: Chilled products such as Investigational products, Reagents and etc.
This type is usefull in winter time to avoid freezing.
General freezers (-15°C or below) would be OK to freeze it.
+18°C: Ambient temp products such as Investigational products, Reagents and etc.

2.Size / Color

»Q2.1. Can you change the dimensions of the MechaCool package?

Yes, we can. However, we need to make new molds for that, so extra cost would be necessary.
It will take one to two months to produce molds.
»Q2.2. How many colors of MechaCool have you got?
A2.2.
We have 6 colors of the liquid; red, blue, green, yellow, orange and non color.
»Q2.3. How can I distinguish temp types of MechaCool?
A2.3.
The top color of each pack indicates temp type as follows:

・Purple: -2°
・Orange: -5°
・Yellow: -10°
・Yellow green: -18°
・Light blue: -25°C

3.Ingredients

»Q3.1. Can I have information on ingredients of MechaCool?

<Water based MechaCool> Water, Inorganic Salts, Preservatives and etc.
<Paraffin based MechaCool> Paraffin, Polymer and etc.

4.Brand name / logotype

»Q4.1. Can we put our own Brand names/logotypes on the pack?

Yes, you can. However, we need to make new molds for that, so extra cost would be necessary.
It will take around one month to produce molds.

5.Lifetime

»Q5.1. How long is the lifetime of MechaCool?
A5.1.
It depends on usage frequency and shipping conditions. Genaral PCMs are 3 years.
»Q5.2. What about warranty period?
A5.2.
There is a one-year guarantee on MechaCool as far as you handle it as instructed.
»Q5.3. The package of MechaCool was damaged when it was dropped to the floor. Is it so easy to be damaged?
A5.3.
We would not ship the products before passing the damage test of each production batch.
So it won't be damaged so easily, however, you should handle with care as it is a sensitive product.

6.How to use MechaCool

6-a.Pre-use
»Q6a.1. It was not frozen in the chilled room of the refrigerator. Why not?
A6a.1.
It should have been put in the freezer. See A1.1. for optimum temp to freeze each type.
»Q6a.2. Can I use MechaCool while it is not perfectly frozen?
A6a.2.
No,in that case, you cannot keep the desired temp for long hours.
»Q6a.3. How long does it take to freeze MechaCool perfectly?
A6a.3.
It will take 24 to 72 hours. It depends on the type of MechaCool, freezing condition and etc.
Generally it will not take 48 hours if the actual temp of the freezer is 10 degrees below the freezing point.
»Q6a.4. How can I distinguish whether it is perfectly frozen or not?
A6a.4.
When it is perfectly frozen, the overall appearance looks whitish.

6-b. Usage
»Q6b.1. I tried to cool beverges by MechaCool but not effectively chilled. Are there any problems with MechaCool?

It should be used to keep the chilled/frozen temp but not to make it cool.
»Q6b.2. What are the points to be considered in handling?

The following 6 points to be cared:
  • - You have to freeze it perfectly before usage.
  • - Don't put frozen MechaCool on your skin for a long time. You may be frostbitten.
  • - It should not be used near fire/cooking stove.
  • - Don't put it into microwave/oven.
  • - It must not be thrown or dropped.
  • - Do not eat/drink
»Q6b.3. How long can I keep chilled/frozen products by MechaCool?

It depends on delivering products, condition and etc.

7.Material of insulator

The materials for insulator are as follows:
  • Highest R-Value: VIP (Vaccum Insulated Panel) integrated
  • High R-Value: Improved EPS (Expanded PolyStyrene/Phenoric Foam) integrated
  • Midium R-Value: Standard EPS integrated
  • Others: PUR (PolyURethane) integrated, Cardboard

Genaral Containers are 3 years.

9. Performance

»Q9.1. Can you address our issues though our requirement is unusual ?

Yes, as we have variety of tested data of cool delivery (wide range of atmospheric temp and product temp, container dimensions, deliverig hours and etc.), we will be able to propose optimum solution for you. If your requirement is not covered by our data, we will be ready to test based on your needs and conditions.
»Q9.2. If we do cool delivery as you have proposed, do you guarantee the performance of temp control delivery?
A9.2.
We are afraid we don't. Our proposal is based on the tested data but the actual performance may be influenced by various indicators.

The test fee is included in the price of MechaCool PCM/Box.
We may ask you to pay the fee as the case may be.

11.Lead-time

»Q11.1. How long is the lead time for MechaCool PCM / Box?

It depends on specifications / quantities.
It is generally 30 to 60 days from the date of order.
It will be 90 to 120 days if it is VIP integrated Box.

12. Minimum quantity

»Q12.1. What is the minimum quantity?
A12.1.
  • <MechaCool PCM> Generally it is 2,000 pcs. Hundreds pcs could be available if we have stocks.
  • <MechaCool Box> VIP integrated box should be 100 pcs or more. As for other boxes, a few pcs would be OK.
