Toppan Forms Payment Service Co., Ltd.

Mapion Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Japan, Representative Director & President Takaya Satoh, Mapion hereunder) and Toppan Forms Payment Service Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Japan, Representative Director & President Jiro Kurobane, TFPS hereunder) developed a new service that can earn privilege points when the mobile game is played. The points can be used for purchases in actual stores. NFC* technology and platform service provided by both companies takes payment beyond just touching a smart phone on the reader writer. Actual store business and various business on the internet can acquire and use successively tracked marketing data starting from customer induction to the store up to the purchase payment. This enables effective Online to Offline (O2O hereunder) service that connects online world and the behaviour of the consumer when they shop offline.

"Thincacloud" is an e-Money payment platform that uses NFC technology. What sets it apart from the conventional system is the service that can be provided "onsite" at the store through a wide range of devices such as rapidly increasing smart phone and tablet terminal as well as conventional hand held terminal and POS register for business.

TFPS, on the other hand, started to provide the cloud based payment platform "Thincacloud" using NFC technology from June 2012. It can be used both in stores (onsite) and internet (offsite) and multiple types of e-Money can be used for payment. O2O services such as customer store induction are also provided.

Smart phone and tablet terminal with NFC features are becoming more popular enabling O2O services that connect online service with purchase in offline store utilizing service, point, and coupon based on location information. The O2O service can induce customers to the store, provide and use points, and make purchase payment with easy and convenient "touch" action. The joint effort of two companies to operate the platforms and terminals allows unified management and analysis of data. In the future, both companies, combining their expertise and platform, intend to provide services to entice customers to take action in the real world that leads to purchases.

TFPS will conduct the joint demonstration at "NFC & Smart WORLD 2013" to be held at Tokyo Bigsight on March 5 through 8 2013.
