Toppan Forms Acquires J-SCube from Mitsui & Co to Strengthen BPO Service

Information management solution provider Toppan Forms Co., Ltd. (Toppan Forms hereunder) signed a share transfer assignment agreement to purchase all issuing shares of J-SCube, Inc. to take 100% ownership of the company. The stock will be transferred on April 1, 2013.

Toppan Forms provides business forms such as application form and outsourcing business centered on Data Print Service (DPS) that print and mail communication using personal data furnished by client companies.

In addtion to the conventional print, data print, and mailing service, demand to provide business process outsourcing (BPO) that conducts coherent operation encompassing application form received from customers, contents checking, and digitization has been increasing in recent years. The company focused on BPO business early on since it had close affinity to BF and was able to continuously produce successful results.

Needs for BPO is on the increasing trend in the financial sector where operations has been traditionally conducted internally. The company is strengthening its competitiveness to meet the increasing demand to handle large project by constructing Hino Center facility in Hino City Tokyo which will become the new base for BPO.

J-SCube holds the industry leading technology and expertise in the area of digitizing paper documents such as scanning and data entry. The company conducts "Document Outsourcing Business" with 200 document information management staff which is the largest in the industry, "Equipment Solution Business", and "Staff Service Business" for clients' call center and data entry center.

Toppan Forms' BPO aims to provide a comprehensive outsourcing business related to circular information output and input that connects enterprise with their customers through notifications. Japan's largest input and output operation outsourcing capability is created by integrating Toppan Forms strength in the area of output and J-SCube's strength in the input area.

This allows the company to secure industry focused large scale BPO projects from financial institutions, public office, and municipal governments including on-site BPO where operation is conducted at the client's site without taking critical information asset outside of the organization.
