Toppan Forms Co., Ltd. (Toppan Forms hereunder) and J-SCube, Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku Tokyo, President: Takashi Iwasaki, J-SCube hereunder) - a Toppan Forms group company - are promoting various measures to strengthen business process outsourcing (BPO) business. As one of their efforts, J-SCube will newly establish a BPO center in Sendai City on November 1 to accommodate the increasing BPO demand in the East Japan region and the overall group. The newly established BPO center is the company's first in the region with production high speed scanner and data entry machines that will handle operation mainly related to digitization and data entry of various application forms and other paper documents. Furthermore, by creating synergy between J-SCube, which has strength in the field of data entry, and Toppan Forms, which has strength in data output printing, both companies will focus on integrated BPO contacting service which demand is increasing mainly in the financial and service sectors. As the newly established BPO center is located in Special Civil Investment Promotion District (IT Special District), it can receive preferential treatment such as subsidy. J-SCube will also support the disaster-stricken region by hiring employees within Miyagi Prefecture.

Toppan Forms has been providing business forms printing and outsourcing business focusing on Data Print Service (DPS) that prints notices based on personal data received from corporations. In recent years, the range of outsourcing demanded by customers has expanded to comprehensive BPO contacts that cover a series of operations such as receiving application forms sent by end-users, checking written contents, and digitization. Such market trend lead the company to acquire J-SCube as a subsidiary in April 2013, and to promote BPO contracting structure by creating synergy between the companies.

Future Roadmap

Toppan Forms, to strengthen their large scale BPO service focused on financial industries and government institutions, is currently building a BPO center in Hino Tokyo, which is expected to complete in October. The group will coordinate BPO centers in multiple regions to handle BPO of various sizes, and aim to expand the overall group BPO business.
