Ontrasys Cloud, a TOPPAN FORMS Temperature Management Platform, Receives the New Business Model Award in the IoT Division of the ASPIC IoT, AI, and Cloud Awards 2019

DigitalHybrid Company TOPPAN FORMS CO., LTD. (hereinafter “TOPPAN FORMS”) received the New Business Model Award in the IoT category of the ASPIC IoT, AI, and Cloud Awards 2019 announced by ASP-SaaS-IoT Cloud Consortium (hereinafter “ASPIC”), a nonprofit organization, on November 8, 2019 for “Ontrasys Cloud,” a temperature management platform provided by TOPPAN FORMS.
The New Business Model Award is granted to novel and excellent services that venture into new fields.

Ontrasys Cloud

The Ontrasys Cloud is a proprietary IoT cloud service from TOPPAN FORMS that responds to food sanitation management in line with guidelines for appropriate pharmaceutical distribution (GDP*1) and HACCP*2 (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) which have been made compulsory. Ontrasys Cloud has realized the real-time monitoring of transport temperatures and the storage of temperature and location log data through the integrated management of data acquired by the Ontrasys Tag, a RFID temperature logger provided by TOPPAN FORMS. This service will contribute to an improvement in the quality of pharmaceuticals and foods that require temperature management during transportation and storage and a reduction of on-site labor.

Features of the Fukuroi Plant

1. Enabling real-time temperature monitoring is possible
Able to monitor the temperature management of goods in real time by forwarding temperature log data acquired by the Ontrasys Tag to the cloud through a smartphone or gateway terminal.
2. Manage location information simaltaneously
Able to utilize the GPS information and temperature log data from the smartphone or gateway to obtain the route and time during transportation and the environment when the temperature changes by linking GPS information with the temperature log data.
3. Able to send e-mail when the temperature deviates
If the temperature during transportation and storage deviates from the predetermined range, an e-mail will be sent to the operator .

ASPIC IoT, AI, and Cloud Awards 2019

ASPIC is a nonprofit organization raising awareness and promoting the dissemination of ASP (application service provider), SaaS, and cloud computing and conducting social contribution projects to develop ASP, SaaS, and cloud computing.
The ASPIC IoT, AI, and Cloud Awards 2019, which is hosted by ASPIC and now in its 13th year, commends excellent and useful IoT, AI, and cloud services in Japan to support the business expansion of IoT, AI, and cloud service providers and user companies for the purpose of developing and establishing IoT, AI, and cloud services in Japan as a part of society’s information infrastructure.
