Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture (mayor: Katsuaki Kamiji, hereafter "Yokosuka City") and TOPPAN FORMS CO., LTD. (president: Koichi Sakata, hereafter "TOPPAN FORMS") have concluded a Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement for the Promotion of Digital Government.
This agreement is intended to take active steps for reforming operating processes and training personnel to carry out digital government, and to promote cooperation between government and private business in order to resolve issues facing Yokosuka City. This will be accomplished by utilizing the resources and expertise that Yokosuka City and TOPPAN FORMS each possesses in order to construct a system for cooperation.

Yokosuka City is faced with the urgent tasks of reviewing its existing operating processes from the ground up to streamline its operations, and of allocating the resulting savings in time and labor to provide high-quality services which meet the needs of its residents.
Yokosuka City is promoting digital government in order to make maximum use of digital technologies and enable every citizen to enjoy fast, easy, and convenient administrative services.
Under the cooperation agreement with Yokosuka City, TOPPAN FORMS will analyze and verify the data obtained from demonstration projects, support operating process improvements and personnel training for local governments, and contribute to the promotion of digital government making maximum use of advanced digital technologies.

    1year starting from December 10, 2019

  • 3.Primary contents (future plans)
    A BPM*1 workshop will be started from January 10, 2020 to verify the following information related to the child-care assistance provided by Yokosuka City.
    ・Effects of BPMS*2 introduction
    ・Improvement of documents through universal design*3
    ・Effects of introducing RPA, OCR, and other ICT tools
    ・Changing to online applications and requests

*1: BPM (Business Process Management) is a method of reviewing multiple business processes and business systems in order to continually carry out improvements while creating optimal processes through process integration, control, and automation.
*2: BPMS is a general term for information systems used to implement and support BPM.
*3: Universal design is a design concept aimed at allowing as many people as possible to use a service regardless of age, disability, constitution, gender, nationality, or other factor.
