Toppan Forms expands Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) certification to 15 business locations.

Toppan Forms Group, an information management solution provider, was audited by SGS Japan for acquisition and extension of Business Continuity Management System (BS25999-2:2007) last December and has acquired certification from Japan Institute for the Promotion of Digital Economy and Community (JIPDEC) and the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) on February 2012. Under the recent audit, outsourced Data Print Service (DPS) for transactional statements and expanding Digital Print on Demand (DOD) business units were certified totaling 15 business locations that include 11 previously certified locations in Tokyo and Kansai, 1 location in Chushikoku area, 2 locations in Nishinihon area, and 1 newly added location in Tokyo.

Toppan Forms Group handles important notification that needs to be processed even at times of disaster. There have been strong requirements from customers regarding business continuity system that takes necessary measures for early recovery if incidents occur that interrupt business operation. The company has been strengthening the system by acquiring and extending the BS25999-2:2007 certified locations to address risks pertaining to earthquake. The extension of locations further strengthens the structure that allows Tokyo, Kansai, Shichugoku, and Nishinihon areas to work together to ensure early recovery.

Toppan Forms Group continues to extend business locations to be certified further strengthening business continuity.

  • *BS25999-2:2007 is an international standard for business continuity management (BCM). Its purpose is to enable businesses to continue and recovery early, if necessary, if latent risks occur and threaten enterprise continuity through terrorism, infectious disease, system faults, natural disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons, etc. By acquiring certification based on this standard, an organization proves that it has introduced and is operating appropriate business continuity management.
