(Headquatered in Minato-ku Tokyo Japan, President and Representative Director : Jiro Kurobane, TFPS hereunder) a Toppan Forms Co., Ltd. Group company that provides e-money payment service using NFC technology will start service for E550 QG3 W+RF PO (terminal hereunder) marketed by Japan Postec.

TFPS has been promoting generic e-money payment terminal that is compatible to "Thicacloud". The key to genericise e-money terminal is to acquire certification based on domestic FeliCa specification for a low price NFC terminal based on EMV contactless standard. The terminal passed the FeliCa functional M class test which allows FeliCa based e-money payment service and EMV contactless terminal widely used in overseas to co-exist.
The terminal bundles magnetic card reader, contact smart card reader, NFC contactless card reader, and two secure access module slots in one and can handle credit payments. It features 32 bit secure microprocessor, 2.4 inch color LCD, and three track two way magnetic stripe card reader. Communication interface can be selected from GPRS, MODEM, CDMA, WCDMA, EVDO, and Wi-Fi. It is also equipped with thermal printer.
The terminal is PCI, EMV Level1, EMV Level2, and China Union Pay Network Access License certified which allows safer and more reliable operations. In addition to use in stores, new payment application are expected to be developed for payment.
Japan Postec using this partnership plans to roll out the terminal compatible to "Thincacloud".
Toppan Forms and TFPS will strengthen cooperation with various terminal manufacturers and e-money providers to promote a platform that is versatile for users and merchants and low fee e-money payment implementation.
