Strengthening Contact and Inspection Functions as well as BCP Measures

DigitalHybrid Company TOPPAN FORMS CO., LTD. (TOPPAN FORMS, hereunder) will open BPO Satellite Sendai*, a new BPO center in Sendai City, Miyagi, to meet expanding business processing outsourcing (BPO) demands. The Center will begin full-scale operations in April 2017. BPO Satellite Sendai will handle contact operations of responding to notification inquiries and resolving problems. It will also provide high added-value services for handling electronic office work using graphical images.

In addition, TOPPAN FORMS will introduce business process management (BPM) platforms at its existing centers, including Hino Center (Hino City, Tokyo), the company’s core BPO center, the newly opened BPO Satellite Sendai and other centers to be opened in the future. It will convert operational processes for multiple purposes and automate them. This will enable the handling of multiple customer operations on a single platform and the reduction of development man-hours and management man-hours, such as by progress and performance management. TOPPAN FORMS will also build a system under which outsourced operations can be decentralized flexibly among centers and will strengthen business continuation plans (BCP) as well as improve productivity and profitability.

Background

TOPPAN FORMS provides data print service (DPS) for outsourced manufacturing and delivery of communications and BPO services for related outsourced office work operations and has a rich track record with financial institutions, government and municipal offices, local governments and power companies. The demand for outsourcing will continue to be strong, especially from financial institutions and is expected to continue to expand due to many institutional reforms, such as the liberalization of power and gas retail businesses. With a focus on the increase in demand amid this market expansion, TOPPAN FORMS will not only enhance its contact and inspection operations by opening BPO Satellite Sendai but also further strengthen its partnership with J-SCube Inc., which is strong in the entry services, such as scanning and data entry, to provide high added-value BPO services using nationwide centers. TOPPAN FORMS will also build a decentralized system to respond to BCP, for which there are strong customer needs.

Future Direction

TOPPAN FORMS will actively work on opening new BPO centers after BPO Satellite Sendai and establishing BPO centers using manufacturing centers across the country to meet the expanding BPO demands and for business continuation plans (BCP).
In addition, TOPPAN FORMS will develop outsourcing platform integrating paper media and IT and will establish outsourcing services for DigitalHybrid. TOPPAN FORMS will also further promote high added-value services by utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) technology to contribute to the realization of more efficient operations for customers and the concentration of resources in core businesses.
