ISO/IEC 20000-1 certification obtained by the Information System Department

TOPPAN FORMS OPERATION CO., LTD. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Kenichi Fukushima; TFO, hereunder), a TOPPAN FORMS Group company that provides IT services, such as consulting on system operations and operation management, has obtained ISO/IEC 20000-1 certification (ISO 20000, hereunder), an international standard for IT service management systems. TFO is the first in the TOPPAN FORMS Group to obtain ISO 20000.
As a result of the certification, PDCA for management based on the IT Infrastructure Library® (ITIL®*), which is the de facto standard in the industry, has been established at TFO, enabling the company to provide high-quality, stable IT services that conform to international standards.

*The IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is a framework which summarizes best practices for processes or service management that have proven successful in various organizations.

Background

TFO, which has a wide range of customers, such as in manufacturing and distribution as well as financial circles, including banking, securities and life and nonlife insurance, has engaged in providing stable and efficient IT services for forty years, including consulting on system operations.
In recent years, the domestic IT market has been rapidly expanding amid the development of cloud-based services and IoT. In this situation, companies are increasingly required to secure higher quality, greater stability, and flexibility in the area of IT services to properly address detailed customer needs, which are constantly changing, while maintaining consistency between customer operations and IT.

Future development

TFO aims to be a company that continues to provide attractive values to customers, by appropriately operating IT service management systems.
The company will also strive to provide high-quality, safe IT services as a total provider of IT services that will be trusted by customers. As a part of such efforts, TFO will also work to obtain ISO/IEC 27001 certification, with an aim to improve the level of its information security management.
