Digital Hybrid Company TOPPAN FORMS CO., LTD. (TOPPAN FORMS, hereunder) announced that, today, it was designated jointly by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Nippon Kenko Kaigi as one of the 2020 Excellent Enterprises of Health and Productivity Management (White 500), an initiative that recognizes companies for their focus on management that takes into consideration their employees’ health. Starting with 2017, this makes the fourth consecutive year that TOPPAN FORMS has been designated. There are four criteria for the designation: management policy/philosophy, organizational structure, implementation of scheme/measures and evaluation-based improvement, and TOPPAN FORMS earned high marks specifically for their disclosure and spread of information beyond what other companies do within the management policy/philosophy criteria.

Under the Certified Health & Productivity Management Organization Recognition Program, the Nippon Kenko Kaigi examines large enterprises, SMEs and other organizations that are engaging in health-conscious activities in collaboration with health insurance society members, promotes activities led by the Nippon Kenko Kaigi, and recognizes outstanding enterprises engaging in efforts to improve health and productivity management.
This recognition program endeavors to highlight these outstanding enterprises engaging in efforts to advance health and productivity management and thereby aims to create an environment in which such enterprises are able to gain enhanced social recognition, particularly from employees, employment seekers, related enterprises and financial institutions, as organizations focusing on and engaging in strategic health and productivity management efforts to maintain their employees’ health from a management perspective.

Initiatives of TOPPAN FORMS

Toppan Forms strives to lay a foundation for diverse human resources to continue working energetically. To this end, we engage in health-oriented management through workstyle reform and activities that keep staff healthy in pursuit of the continued growth of the company.
Our measures mainly concern: 1. Lifestyle-related diseases 2. Mental health 3. Encouraging quitting smoking 4. Keeping families healthy

Specific activities

  • 1. Establishing health-oriented management as a company-wide policy, and promoting it across the TOPPAN FORMS Group
    Health-oriented management is codified in the Group’s company-wide policy and related information is sent via Action Guidelines Case Books, our in-house newsletter and in-house regulations. Also, our website identifies targets (KPI) for health-oriented management. In this way, we strive to lay a foundation for enabling our diverse workforce to energetically continue their work.
  • 2. Gaining senior management’s involvement, measures are taken in cooperation with healthcare specialists and health insurance societies
    Senior management is involved in the entire process, from keeping updated on health issues to the creation of plans, the implementation of measures and the verification of results. In addition to dedicated healthcare specialists such as industrial physicians and nurses, TOPPAN FORMS cooperates with health insurance societies to make us well-prepared for the implementation of new measures. In particular, TOPPAN FORMS focuses on lifestyle diseases and implements a range of measures to raise awareness and change the behaviors of employees, such as regular follow-ups on the results of physical checkups, checks on chewing power and consultations on dental problems, lung health checks and seminars on the prevention of lifestyle-related diseases.
  • 3. Internal workstyle reform through the implementation of health measures
    A number of measures are implemented to deal with extended work hours, such as no overtime days (twice a month), management of overtime work (monthly) and regular meetings of company officers where the number of employees who have worked long hours and their departments are reported. TOPPAN FORMS focuses especially on raising the awareness of managerial-level staff and pursues the development of an environment that ensures that staff stay physically and mentally healthy. To this end, we organize workshops to check the staff’s work hours and stress levels.
  • 4. TOPPAN FORMS actively sends information about “health-oriented management” outside the company
    TOPPAN FORMS increasingly receives offers and requests from clients and outside organizations and companies, for lectures and consultation on health-oriented management, its measures and programs implemented. TOPPAN FORMS engages in awareness-raising activities that facilitate health-related initiatives through, for example, interviews with our clients’ general affairs managers and presentations for concerned persons from health insurance societies.
Staff participate in a “laughter and yoga” self-care workshop. Our colleague takes the rostrum at a health management seminar and explains TOPPAN FORMS’ efforts to achieve health-oriented management.

The sale price is an initial 4 million yen (excluding tax and optional expenses) with a monthly payment of 300,000 yen (excluding tax). DocValue Contents Ver. 2 offers up to 1 TB of storage. TOPPAN FORMS aims to achieve its sales goal of 100 licenses (accumulated total from 2018) and 1 billion yen by 2021.
